Weymouth Doonan Wildcats promoter Phil
Bartlett will continue his push to
bring Premier League speedway to the
Wessex Stadium when he attends a
high-profile meeting at BSPA
headquarters in Rugby next month.
Bartlett's men will take on the
Plymouth Devils in a two legged
Conference League play-off semi
final on October 10 and 11, and
hopes are high that the club can win
through and finally realise their
dream of lifting the title. Not only
would promotion bring more
high-profile meetings to the town
but it would also give the club a
much-needed boost in revenue.
The Premier League meeting will
take place on October 21. Bartlett
said "We have not been accepted as
yet, but it is great that we have
been invited to the meeting and I am
looking forward to find out more. It
would be great if we could go up a
division."
